2. Smart ForTwo
The Smart ForTwo is one of the cutest cars parents can buy for their teenage girl. The car is fully upgraded from the Euro version of the vehicle to all of the required U.S. safety features, and it is one of the most unique designs on the market today. Drivers can park the vehicle in just about any open spot around college or the city; it has a rear-mounted three cylinder engine with 89 horsepower. If purchasing the vehicle new, there is a choice between a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic. The auto is fairly sluggish with the small engine with a zero to 60 MPH time of 10.8 seconds; however, if one is brave enough, it does have a top speed of 96 MPH. The overall consumption is above average with a 33 MPG (city) and 39 MPG (highway).
